Be sure your calendars are marked for the Annual ANA Garden Stroll on Saturday, August 8th. Eight people have generously offered their gardens to ooh and ash over. You will be sure to feel inspired and awed at the creativity and hard work your neighbors are doing!
We will gather at 1 p.m. at 313 7th Ave N.
We will spend about 15 minutes outside at each home so if you can’t start right at 1:00pm, email the ANA Secretary for the full list of houses joining in the event. This is a rain-or-shine event, hopefully this incredible weather we have been enjoying will stick around next weekend.
Please plan to join the group, stroll, perhaps enjoy light refreshments, and visit with other garden loving neighbors. See you on August 8th!
The weather looks perfect for the ANA 4th of July festivities!
We will gather at 1:00pm on July 4th at Alice Smith school. We’ll decorate bikes, have a short parade on Minnetonka Mills Road, gather back for root beer floats, face painting, patriotic music and prizes for all of the kids.
The fire department will be sending a truck for a cooling spray. This year LTD Brewery generously donated the root beer for our event – please be sure to thank them next time you stop in.
The party wraps up at 2:30. If you are able to scoop ice cream or help with bike decorating please speak up when you arrive – we can always use extra hands!
We are gearing up for another successful plant sale to be held Saturday, June 6 in the parking lot at Alice Smith School (801 Minnetonka Mills Road) from 9-11 a.m.
As you are digging in your own garden please set aside any extras to donate for our sale. We ask that you drop them off at Alice Smith on the 6th from 7:30 a.m. on. If you need to drop them off on Friday, June 5th, contact the ANA Secretary for drop-off locations.
Join us Saturday, May 9th for the annual ANA Garage Sales in Hopkins!
There will be a neighborhood-wide sale in Hopkins on Saturday, May 9th from 9-4, and we have MANY homes participating. Sales will have maps/address lists.
Sales will be located south of Highway 7 and north of Mainstreet Hopkins, just west of Highway 169, between 5th Avenue North and 12th Avenue North (super easy to get to!)
So come stroll the avenues and look for treasures in Hopkins!
One of our ANA members has advised us that the Church of the Cross (201 9th Ave. North) has organized a Service Day to help neighbors get a jump on spring cleaning. On Saturday, April 18th between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. small teams from the church will be available to visit neighboring homes and assist those requiring extra help with basic household tasks. Representative tasks include: raking, painting, window washing, gutter cleaning (single story only), spring cleaning/floor cleaning, garage clean-out and light handyman services. These services are being offered for free and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Email Trisha at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a team and include your name, email and phone, address, and a brief description of the desired task. Confirmation of the service appointment will be sent by email. What a great opportunity for those who can use some extra assistance. Please be sure to check with your neighbors who may need some help.
Thanks, Lauren and Church of the Cross, for letting the ANA members know about this!
